Can Organizational Change Ever Be Easy? A Design Thinking Perspective

I am looking forward to, once again, being a speaker at a SAP Financials Conference to lead the session Can Organizational Change Ever Be Easy? A Design Thinking Perspective?

In my hands-on workshop, we want to use design thinking methods to jointly identify some of the key challenges financial organizations are facing in this context as well as work out promising methods of resolution.

  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Internal Restructuring
  • Changing business models
  • Compliance optimized structures

If you are curious as to how this workshop idea was created, please check out my blog post My Design Thinking Expedition.

Design Thinking, in general, seems to be a catch-all of late to generalize processes and problem solving and I couldn’t have said it better myself then this great article What is Design Thinking and Why Is It So Popular?

Of course, I can’t have a discussion about understanding Design Thinking without mentioning an article in Forbes Magazine a few years ago that is still relevant today – What Is Design Thinking? This article gets to the heart of Design Thinking by stating, “In its simplest form, design thinking is a process—applicable to all walks of life—of creating new and innovative ideas and solving problems.”

Attend my interactive session at the SAP Financials Conference in Plano, Texas where I elaborate on organizational change from both sides: the problem side as well as the solution side.
